* a slight aberration here as Kind of Blue was released in 1959--well before the consensually agreed upon date of the "birth" of progressive rock music. However, once a band is admitted into the database at ProgArchives, each and every album release by that artist is automatically included within the database and, accordingly, is open to receive ratings and reviews. While a GREAT and seminal jazz album, Kind of Blue is NOT a prog album. However, it has managed to earn its way onto the PA Top Albums lists due to Miles' discography dating back into the 1950s.
